USFCU Expands Field of Membership

United Southeast Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce an expansion of its field of membership.  The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has approved our expansion into 13 additional counties and two cities across Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.

This means in addition to 750 select employer groups,  Sullivan County Tennessee, Washington County Tennessee, Russell County Virginia & Washington County Virginia; USFCU membership is now open to  individuals who live, work, worship, attend school or regularly conduct business in  the following counties:

• Smyth County Virginia
• portions of Wythe County Virginia
• portions of Tazewell County Virginia
• Buchanan County Virginia
• Dickenson County Virginia
• Scott County Virginia
• Lee County Virginia
• Carroll County Virginia
• Bell County Kentucky
• Harlan County Kentucky
• portions of Letcher County Kentucky
• City of Bristol Virginia
• City of Norton Virginia

What does this mean? 

This expansion aligns with the USFCU’s strategic goals to provide members of all means the right financial services to achieve their goals. We can now offer our United Southeast Federal Credit Union products and services, and community support through our mission of “Helping Our Members Live Better Lives” to these new communities. 

The health and strength of USFCU is strongly dependent on the membership being engaged and utilizing our products and services.  The more members that are an active part of the credit union and using its products and services, the better the ability to offer lower cost loan options, higher deposit rates, better digital service and access, and more community support.   Our expansion will allow USFCU to provide our financial offerings to more consumers that need them.  In doing so, we will be able to increase our membership, and the ability to serve all our members, and our shared communities better.

Members from these counties are eligible to join United Southeast Federal Credit Union immediately. 

With 17,600 members and growing, USFCU has been a strong financial partner to our members for over 80 years, and we look forward to being an even better partner with this expansion.
