1. Open an United Southeast FCU Totally Free Checking with $50 opening deposit. Order your checks and a Visa Debit Card. Also, don't forget to sign up for @ccessUS and STAR.
2. Stop using your previous checking account. Allow time for all your outstanding checks to clear - this can take up to 10 days. Destroy your old unused checks, deposit slips, and your old ATM and/or debit cards.
3. Change your Direct Deposit(s) to USFCU. Use the Direct Deposit Authorization form to notify anyone making direct deposits to your old account to your new USFCU account information. Please look over the Deposit/Payment Checklist form to ensure you do not forget any direct deposits you may have.
4. Transfer any automatic payments and debits to USFCU. Use the Automatic Payment form to notify anyone deducting automatic payments from your old account of your new USFCU account information. Please look over the Deposit/Payment checklist form to ensure you do not forget any automatic payments you may have.
5. Close your old account by sending the Account Closed Letter to your old bank. Make sure all checks and automatic payments have cleared first.

This will provide them with your new United Southeast FCU checking account information.
