College is expensive! Scholarships can be a big help. Every year USFCU awards four college scholarships, one $2,500, two $1,000, and one $500 scholarship.

All applicants must be a USFCU member and a high school senior who has been accepted for enrollment in an accredited college, university, or seminary as a full-time student.

Additional criteria for selection are financial need, an academic record of 2.5 GPA or better, along with service to community, school, and/or church.

The applicant must submit: the application, transcripts, FAFSA or SAR, and a one-page double-spaced typed essay about their scholastic and community involvements, along with any additional personal information or special circumstances that will aid the committee as the application is reviewed.

Application packets must be completed and postmarked by March 8, 2013 to be eligible. Selection of recipients will be made by May 15, 2013. The USFCU Scholarship Committee will send a notice of award to each recipient specifying the terms of their award.
