2012 Scolarship Program

Each Year United Southeast Federal Credit Union awards a total of $5,000 in college scholarships to 4 deserving individuals.  The $5,000 total is awarded as follows:  

         One $2,500 Scholarship
         Two $1,000 Scholarships
         One $500 Scholarship

To be eligible, you must be a USFCU member and a high school senior who has been accepted for enrollment in an accredited college, university, or seminary as a full-time student.

The criteria for selection are:
      
       Financial need
       Academic record of 2.5 GPA or better
       Service to community, school, and church

The applicant must submit:  the application, transcripts, FAFSA or SAR, and a one page double spaced typed essay about their scholastic and community involvements, along with any additional personal information or special circumstances that will help the committee as they review the application.

Application packets must be completed and postmarked by March 12, 2012, to be eligible.  Selection of recipients will be made by May 15, 2012.  The USFCU Scholarship Committee will send a notice of award to the recipient specifying the terms of the award.
